About This Course

The WSQ PWM-Cleaning: Workplace Safety and Health Performance Management for Cleaning Supervisors Level 2 course equips cleaning supervisors and team leaders with the knowledge and skills to support WSH inspections, identify workplace hazards, and implement control measures to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.

This WSH module is mandatory for all Cleaning Supervisors under the Progressive Wage Model (PWM).

Regulatory Requirement & Industry Standards

As of 31 December 2022, all cleaning businesses must ensure that their cleaning workforce meets the mandatory training requirements set by the National Environment Agency (NEA):

1️⃣ One Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) module
2️⃣ One CORE cleaning module

πŸ“Œ Additional Requirement for Class 1 Licence Holders

  • Cleaning businesses applying for a Class 1 Licence must ensure their workforce completes at least 3 training modules, including a minimum of 2 CORE modules.

πŸ“Œ Who Must Be Trained?

  • 100% of cleaners must complete training before a new or renewed cleaning business licence is issued.

  • This requirement applies to all cleaners, including Singaporeans, Permanent Residents, and foreign workers, regardless of whether they are full-time, part-time, casual, or temporary employees.

  • Cleaners employed for less than 3 months at the time of licence application are exempt from this requirement.

⚠️ Non-Compliance Consequences
Cleaning businesses that fail to meet the training requirement may face:
🚫 A financial penalty of up to $5,000
🚫 Suspension or revocation of their cleaning business licence

  1. Letter of Attendance (LOA) can be issued by us after course completion, upon request, for your immediate submission to NEA.
  2. WSQ SOA will be issued by SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) in 1-2 days after full payment of course fees and course completion.

Validity of Certificate
The certificate does not have an expiry date.

  • Be able to read, listen, and speak English at Employability Skills System (ESS) Literacy Level 3
  • Possess numeracy skills equivalent to ESS Numeracy Level 3
  • Bring a pen (courseware will be provided)
